Saturday, June 20 - Summer Solstice Celebration
Come celebrate the Summer Solstice with a drumming circle led by Dr. K and a ceremony led by Steve Nelson. We'll have a potluck dinner at 6:00 pm so bring a dish to share and the drink of your choice. The ceremony begins at sunset at 8:30pm in the yurt with a drumming circle led by Dr. K. Next, Steve will discuss the Solstice and lead us in a Solstice ritual. We'll then go outside to the firepit and do fireleaping and firedancing. We'll have a final closing with a drum circle again led by Dr. K.

Dr. K (Saleef Kafajouffe, Ph.D.). will teach fundamental drawing principles. The instructor's method of teaching allows him to make this guarantee: "I can teach anyone to draw who desires it and who is willing to listen and follow simple instructions." For ages 12 and up. Drawing paper is provided. This class is approved for continuing education credits for teachers in Cabarrus County.
